Reconstituted Maple Wood Veneer – Birdseye

Reconstituted birdseye maple veneer, also known as engineered birdseye maple wood veneer or manmade bird’s eye maple veneer is typically a golden yellow or tan color. It is normally available as FlexVen™ 10 and FlexVen™ 20 paper backed 4′ x 8′ sheets with a PSA (pressure sensitive adhesive) option. Reconstituted birdseye maple wood veneer is also available in the 4′ x 10′ size and with Tuf-Pli™ polyback or Pli-Flex™ wood on wood backers as special order.

Reconstituted birdseye wood veneer is made from dyed and laminated layers of a fast growing secondary species of wood, with the grain running along the 8’ dimension. The grain on manmade birdseye maple veneer is made to look rotary cut with the figure being random in appearance. Reconstituted birdseye maple veneer normally is not graded because it is manmade and has no defects. Engineered birdseye maple veneer boasts a uniformly colored grain pattern with a smooth texture. This veneer is ideal for projects that require a large number of consistent sheets. Man made birdseye maple wood veneer accepts finishes well.
