Teak Wood Veneer, Flat Cut

$137.28

Flat cut teak wood veneer, also known as flat cut teak or plain sliced Burma teak, is typically a golden honey brown to a deep brown color that darkens with age. Teak is a naturally oily wood and takes wipe on oil finishes best. It’s available in 4′ x 8′ sheets in FlexVen™ 10 and FlexVen™ 20 paper backed sheets with a PSA (pressure sensitive adhesive) option. It is also available in a 4 ‘x 10’ size and with the Tuf-Pli™ polyback and Pli-Flex™ wood on wood backer options as special order.

It is usually book matched with the grain running along the 8’ dimension. Standard A grade teak wood veneer tends to be uniform in color and commonly allows for some defects such as occasional pin knots, mineral streaks and very slight figure or flashing. Teak is a dense and oily hardwood that is relatively easy to work with and strong. It is heavy with a uniform coarse texture and medium porous grain. It is usually not stained but finishes well with a clear coat, especially a wipe on oil finish, which preserves the warmth and accentuates the color and beauty of the wood’s natural grain.
