White Oak Wood Veneer – Rift Cut
$129.99
Rift cut white oak veneer, also known as rift white oak or rift sawn white oak, is typically a straw colored light tan-brown to a creamy beige wheat color. The veneer is often stained and accepts finishes well.
Standard grade rift cut white oak veneer normally allows for some defects such as occasional pin knots and/or mineral streaks. Premium grade rift white oak wood veneer is sometimes referred to as comb grain white oak veneer and has almost no defects. It is usually book matched and sometimes slip matched, with the grain running along the 8’ dimension. White oak is a common American hardwood that is easy to work with, strong, dense and decay resistant due to the abundance of tylose in its cells. It has a medium to coarse texture and an alternating tight to porous grain.
