White Oak Wood Veneer – Flat Cut

White Oak veneer is wheat colored to a light golden brown and is one of the most common woods used today. It is available in 4′ x 8′, 4′ x 10′ and 8′ x 4′ sizes as FlexVen™ 10 and FlexVen™ 20 paper backed, Tuf-Pli™ polyback, Pli-Flex™ wood on wood or cross grain veneer sheets with a PSA (pressure sensitive adhesive) option.

It is usually book matched with the grain running along the 8’ dimension. Standard grade white oak wood veneer normally allows for some defects such as occasional pin knots and/ or mineral streaks. White oak is a common American hardwood that is easy to work with, strong, dense and decay resistant due to the abundance of tylose in its cells. Flat cut white oak veneer has a medium to coarse texture and an alternating tight to porous grain. Flat cut white oak wood veneer is often stained and accepts finishes well which accentuate the cathedral grain.
